This can happen if the cache of of the application has been erased. If you used such applications, the Best friends list is stored as temporary. However, you can simply chat again with your friends and they will be added to the list once more. You can repeat this process until all your friends are added to the best friends list. Additionally, reinstall the application on your mobile phone because this could also be a bug in the application's functionality.
