It doesn't work, the S5 is locked unless you can enter the password for the Samsung account registered to the device.

... late go to settings> accounts> Samsung> and then tap ... after creating a NEW Samsung account you can remember the password ... back to settings> accounts> +add account> Samsung account and register your new ...
... way you could remove the account is through factory reset. If ... factory defaults and remove your account and any other 3rd party ... over, you can assign a new account to your phone.
