Audio is not in sync with the video.

Question

The original DVD plays back just fine and in sync when playing on a DVD player or auto-play on computer.

However the audio is not in sync when I insert the disk and open up Xilisoft DVD Ripper Ultimate SE program. So then when I cut a portion out and rip to a new file the audio is still not in sync with the video.

How do I fix this?

This error is caused by the codecs installed for Xilisoft. In this case, I recommend installing a new set of codecs. However, if you already use codecs, remove them and install Combined Community Codec Pack then use the installer and reset the settings when you're asked. Make sure that Xilisoft is closed during this operation. Additionally, check the configuration of the videos when you import them. This could also be caused by the improper codec configuration in the software.
