Does Typeit Readit read PDF files? Does it track the text words by highlighting them?

No, TypeIt ReadIt doesn't support PDF files. Indeed, it allows you to read text files using the built-in TTS module, but PDF files are not supported at the time of the release. Additionally, there is no patch that you can apply to increase its compatibility with PDF files.
