My Nettest CMA 4500 OTDR is not recognizing mouse. Touch screen also doesn't work.

My Nettest CMA 4500 OTDR is not recognizing mouse. Touch screen also doesn't work. It is still using Windows XP. Why is this happening?

To diagnose the errors, first try to switch the mouse to another USB port because due to unknown reasons, ports might be stuck and because of that, the devices attached are not working correctly. Additionally, reboot the computer and press F8 then go to Safe Mode and remove all the drivers for mouse and touch screen. Reboot the computer and use the normal mode then install the drivers and observe the behavior. It should work now with the drivers re-installed.
