Is Socusoft DVD Photo Slideshow safe and does it work with Windows 8?

Yes, the application is safe to use, but the problem is that it's not compatible with Windows 8 because it's a product that was released a long time ago, however, there any many alternatives nowadays that do the same thing as Ulead PictureShow does. For example, ProShow Producer is a good application to create slideshows for your CD and DVDS. You can get it through its application page at Software Informer.

Thank you. I did try ProShow Gold and found it more complicated than what I needed or wanted. I downloaded the trial version of the Socusoft software using my Windows 8 computer. The Socusoft website does not say anything about Windows 8. The email response I got from Socusoft is that they tested the software and it works on Windows 8. I had to convert my .mov files to .wmv files. I made a small slideshow and burned it to a disk of what I was looking for and it worked in my dvd player and on my computer. They do not offer a hard copy of the software to purchase and only support via email which makes me also a little more cautious. The software is $49.99. So I guess I spend the $49.99, use my XP computer to make my slideshows or just give up on this idea. Julie
