If DashBook is not running, try uninstalling the application and then installing it again. This should fix it. In order to import your templates/spreadsheets, click the Import Data option from the File menu and then press Setup. From the Data Import Setup select Import Products and Authors and then press Import Now:

After that, using the Select Report button, navigate to your template, select it and press OK. Then use the Import Royalties to link these products and authors to a Royalty Arrangement with a Royalty Rate. Note: Also, you need to know that your templates should look like the samples file that you can find in the (C:) > Users > Your computer name > Documents > FinancialSoftworks > DashBook > Sample Files folder.
