Laptop as landline.

I am using WiFi from a landline connecting. The saddest part is my landline unit doesn't work, due to which I cant make calls (my WiFi plan has 50 free calls). Is there any software that can make me call using my landline number (say connect my landline wire to laptop) and use my laptop as a landline device?

Your laptop needs to have a modem to be able to call. The landline should be attached to the RJ-11 connector. You can see the image below for an example.

On the right side:

  1. RJ-11 connector - the one on the left (landline cable)
  2. RJ-45 connector - the one on the right (LAN cable)

If you don't have a modem, visit your local IT store to buy one.
