Extracting PDF Form Data to a database.

We need to send out a PDF form to thousands of people in our org for a corporate charity fundraising event. Once they fill out their sponsor information, we need to be able to extract that data into a database like Excel or something readily available like Access. We do not want to use our Corporate database team resource as it takes away from priority activities.

After we have extracted the data into a small database, we want to use that as a source for mail merging response letters to sponsors.

Is there any PDF form field data-to-db extraction capability with your software or do we need to install and use Acrobat instead?

It's actually recommended to use Adobe because the professional version provides you with the possibility to directly send the data from the forms directly to a database. This eliminates the needs to use other 3rd party applications. Adobe can create a PDF form on the go and then be configured to send the data to a database of choice, completely independent of your company. Access the official help to understand better about this process.
