Yes, you can record for infinite time, but this is entirely based on an amount of free space available on your computer. In the program's interface on the left side under the VU meter you may see a parameter called File Size. You can record on the maximum space available on the partition. The recording problems can be caused by the fact that you use the demo version of the software. Since it's impossible to acquire the full version, I recommend checking Audacity.
