I have a laptop with no MIDI software for outputs. What can I use to install something like this? I would like to use an older version of Cakewalk Music Creator on this laptop just for fun, but there's no MIDI outputs in the computer's software to direct MIDI instruments to. Basically, I can't make anything with MIDI sounds because there's nothing to play it. Can you help?

In order to solve your issue, you will need to purchase an external sound card with MIDI support. You can find one on Amazon, eBay or other similar websites. Once you purchase the new sound card, you can connect it to your laptop through Line In or through the USB port.
