Deleting contacts from Messaging.

I have multiples of the same contact information for the same person in messaging.

If you have multiple contact information from the same person in Messaging, it means that the Messaging application is not configured to conversation stacks. This means that all SMS messages are displayed individually, instead of conversation mode. You can change this setting from the Settings menu for Messaging.
