all folders and files are hiden

Question

When i turn on the computer, all the folders in My DESKTOP, VIDEO, MUSIC, PICTURES become hiden. i have to go to the panel control and folder options and choose the SHOW buten instade of hiden. the fils and folders then come up but all of them look they have been cut. that means their colore reduces and almost invisible. I have a window 7
