The first thing to do is you have the database is to restore it. Use the application and initiate the recovery or the import procedure. Use the backup file you have created when you exited. If you encounter any errors during the backup, then it means the consistency of the file was damaged or it's incomplete. The next step is to try a recovery procedure. Install Recuva then select the drive with the database and select OTHER from the wizard. Scan the drive and the results will be displayed as list. Locate the database file and then recover it (if possible!). In case this process fails as well, you might need to re-create the entire database from scratch.
