If you can't connect to FTP while using the player, then something is wrong with the connection. In most of the cases the server where the files are stored is down or is put offline for maintenance. Additionally, configure your Firewall to allow FTP connection on your computer then attempt a new playback for the file and it should work. If you have the possibility switch the FTP to another one or perform another search for your video files.
