I have a version of password companion from 1999. I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. When I click the icon to start program is says it is already running.

I have a version of password companion from 1999. I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. When I click the icon to start program is says it is already running. How to access it?

You can start the application from the system tray, however, I wouldn't advise on using an application from 1999 with a Windows 8.1 installation. There are applications that offer strong protection for your passwords. For example, LastPass is one of them and it's used by many people.
