Staad output results.

Question

I could not understand why Staad Output shows upper level column reinforcement is greater than lower level columns in a multistoried building when seismic analysis is done? This analysis differs with cantilever column analysis as Bending Moment in lower column is greater than upper column under lateral load.

You need to access the manual of thr software because there is nowhere explained about this issue. Start the software and then use the help section built into the application. Press F1 or go to Help > Contents. Use the Search function to search for the issues you have. Make sure to use key words to identify the solution faster.
