It's known that some versions of the JoikuSpot don't have support for WPA1 or WPA2 settings. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that can be done. You will have to set up JoikuSpot with WPA Security to be able to make the other devices connectable. Although JoikuSpot offers the possibility to create hotspots, I wouldn't recommend using it because the security is extremely poor.
