Avast recognizes Cooee Launcher as Trojan embedded into Android OS.

How can I remove Cooee Launcher on my Galaxy S4 which is recognized as a trojan by Avast anti-virus software (free edition)?

In order to uninstall the Cooee Launcher you will need to do a factory reset of your phone. There is no other way to remove this application. By doing this, you will lose all the data from the device.

Leonard Moore, many thanks! I have effectively told my security app to accept Cooee as a legitimate app. In other words, it probably is a false positive. No problem since then.

I have the same problem on my android phone and my anti virus says its malware,tried factory reset etc and it didn't work,when I click into my settings then into apps,I click all apps and when I click cooee mslauncher it comes up with all these permissions such as it can call phone numbers,read status and identity,read my text messages read call log and so on... What can I do please HELP..........

Go to setting,about phone,wireless update. Install and COOEE MSLauncher disappears.

To disable Cooee without root: Hook it up to your computer. Turn on USB storage. Go into the phone through your computer and search for the cooee folder. Replace EVERY FILE with an empty fake. Especially the payment.jar, Downloader.jar, and Shellservice.jar.

Plug your phone into the PC Find the Cooee folder Make dummy files to match what is there (but give them a slightly different name - e.g. Cooee.com2 (make sure to include folders within folders) Then delete the originals Then rename the dummys to be what the originals were Problem solved Cooee S5 (and the warnings) gone forever
