You encounter this behavior due to some BIOS settings. It's possible that you have activated Serial ATA option in BIOS which doesn't allow installation of Windows XP on it. The result is a BSOD (blue screen of death), like in your case. To change this, reboot your computer and press F2 before it boots up. In the DOS menu, go to Config > Serial ATA (SATA) > change this to Compatibility / IDE. After you've done this, try to install Windows XP on your computer. It should work without throwing a BSOD error.
