How do I erase a DDS4 tape? Does Veritas accomplish this?

I have a DeLL 2600 Server to be given away and I want to give lightly used DDS4 tapes that have been erased with server.

This application isn't used to erase the tapes from the Dell 2600 server. Veritas is used as a manager application for various devices that are not related to DDS4 tape or Dells.

However, if you have tape, connect it to the PC then right click it and Windows will automatically offer the possibility to erase it using Erase tape. There is no need to use additional software.
