No, there are no applications to recover the images from the Internal partition of an Android phone, however, you can use a recovery solution only when the files have been stored on the external drive (SDCard). Recuva is a nice application that you can use to recover the images. If this is the case, remove the SDCard and insert it into a card reader application. Perform the scan and you will have the possibility to recover images or anything that was on that card.
