Images that are available on Google Earth are between one and three years old. The information is collected over time and that is the reason for your problem. You can go to Layers tab and select Weather and from there uncheck clouds. After you did this, restart the application for the settings to take effect. If you still can't see your village, it means that the clouds are part of the image and you will need to wait for an update for the specific zone.
