Driver isn't detected by my system.

I have the old version 6 of Roxio Easy CD & DVD creator which I tried to download on my system that runs Windows 8.1. Everything was downloaded OK, except the driver info for the recorder. It wasn't detected. I downloaded another one, but the problem still persists. What can I do to fix this?

According to the support page of the developer, it's possible that computers with newer DVD\ CD\ Blu-Ray drives may not work with the old version 6 of the product. In this case, the developer suggests that it's better to upgrade Roxio Easy CD & DVD to a newer version to avoid these kind of problems.
