From 1.1.2014 ERP systems which generate invoice for Portuguese customers need to be certified. Can you tell me about what has to certified for which reason?

The certification was implemented to prevent fraud. The generated documents have to match the official and standard compliance. Failure to do so will result in not recognizing the files generated through the application. Usually certification is done automatically once the software has been certified initially by the ones who handle this operation.
