Help needed with my Samsung Tab 2.

I have a Samsung Tab 2 7.0 fully updated. I went into the Google Play Store and tried to download an application that was 1 GB (I had almost 2 GB available on the device). It took a while to download and when it finished it said there was an error and couldn't install it. The application's page said it was not installed. Directly after the error there was a message in the notification area that won't go away. It says there is only 200 MB left and storage space is running out. I don't know how to fix and there isn't any trace of the application on my device. What can I do?

Before you start and download applications that are fairly big (like the one in your case), it's advised to make sure that you use a stable WiFi network connection. Due to the fact that larger application need more time to download, any disconnection from the network could lead to errors. To fix your problem, try going to Menu > Settings > Application > Manage Applications > All tab > and tap on the Google Play application. From there, your will need to Clear Data and Clear Cache. If you didn't manage to solve your problem, try to reboot the device. This could also help because by doing this, all its cache memory will be cleared.
