You need to empty the Recycle Bin as well to completely free up the spate on your drive. Deleting from the application automatically places the files in the Recycle Bin. Since the Recycle Bin is used for all the partitions in your computer, right click it from the desktop and then select Empty. Additionally, install CCleaner and run the Cleaner module to delete all the temporary files. This should do the trick and free the space on your computer.
