My Windows notifies me that it's not genuine

I try to update my operating system and my laptop says that this copy of Windows is not genuine. What should I do?

If you encounter that message it means that your Windows version is either not activated or expired. In both cases, you need to visit Microsoft's online shop to acquire a key for your version of Windows.
