Yes, you will have to pay if the application is going to be installed on laptop, or there is another way. Install the application on desktop and then use it for your own needs. After you finish using it, uninstall it and transfer it to laptop. The licence doesn't allow you to have two sessions of the same software installed while using the same serial number.
