Hold and Talk works just fine. You might need to wait a little before you can hear any sound. A similar feature is found on Facebook Messenger and just the same as Viber, you need to wait a few seconds before you can hear your recorded message. Check sound volume for Media because it may be possible that it's set to a lower value.
