Is there any open source software to fix pet eyes in photos?

I want to know if there is any open source software to fix pet eyes easily, as PIKNIK did (they are closing). I am a non profit small dog rescue and need to do that.

I recommend Google's Picasa - works for human and pets.

Picasa does not have anything for animals!  Only Picnik did, thru Picasa, but Picnik is closing down in April.
