The Book is an old program developed by Parsons Technology. Unfortunately, Parsons Technology has been acquired in 1994 by Intuit and the application has been discontinued. The only solution to install and run The Book on your computer can be the Compatibility Mode. Right click on the installation package select Properties and go to Compatibility tab. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for box and select a compatible operating system from the drop-down list. Click Apply and then OK. After that, right-click again on the installer and select Run as Administrator option.
