Do I need to install additional software on the tablet for ZTE modem to connect to the Internet?

I have a ZTE SIM modem that I use to connect to the net while on the move. Recently I purchased a Tablet which came with a dongle to connect to the Internet via modem. However, my tablet is not recognizing the modem. Any suggestions as to which driver or software I need to install to make it work?

The answer is NO, because the tablets are designed to work with a wide number of USB modems. Basically, from the moment you'll insert a USB modem, the OS should to the rest (if the USB modem is supported). You should check the manual to see what devices are supported.

You don't need to install additional software when you connect a USB device using USB OTG cable. Android system will recognize and install and provide functionality. If it's not working, it means the tablet is not compatible with the USB modem.
