I have Mackeeper 2.8 on OSX 10.6.8 but it is not responding when I try to open it. Should I have Mackeeper 2.7 or lower instead?

According to the information found on the Apple forums, it is known that this software is very intrusive and it's considered as malware. My advice is to leave it and find something else. iBoostUp is a better alternative.
