The error that you encounter can have multiple causes. To overcome this, I strongly suggest that you use the latest version of the application. If you have it installed on your Android device, open the Google Play application. From there, swipe from the left side of the screen and access the My applications section. From there, tap on gCMOB, and select Update. After you did this, try to connect to the device again by entering all the necessary information. If you can't pass this step, visit the developer's support website. From there, you should be able to learn more about the connecting and setting up process.
