No data is being transmitted from the remote sensor

Intermittently my remote sensor on the top of my house, distance maybe 30 feet, does not transmit. I have checked the batteries (both inside and outside). When it is transmitting, the information is correct. From the rooftop no info is transmitted. I receive no information. Could I have a bad transmitter? What happens when it communicates with console and when it connects with the atomic clock?

The first thing to do is to check the connection. For this operation I recommend checking the communications settings between the remote sensor and the device/PC you're using to acquire the data. There are no other settings besides the ones already mentioned. For other troubleshooting options reboot all the devices and re-initialize the transmission.
