Cannot restore SMS on Xperia1

I cannot get SMS Backup & Restore to open my backed up messages. Where do I need to move the .db file to?

The app allows you to browse to folders so that you can locate the database file with SMS messages. Make sure that the file is in the XML format because the app recognizes the XML files by default.

You try to use the 3rd-party Android data recovery to restore text messages from Sony Xperia Z1.
