I have HTC myTouch 4G and when I wanted to update my software as it was required, it froze and now it's totally not working.

I have HTC myTouch 4G and when I wanted to update my software as it was required, it froze and now it's totally not working. It just stays on the starting page. What should I do?

Turn off the phone completely then press Volume Down + Power button. Keep the buttons pressed until the Android logo appears. On the recovery screen, select Factory Reset and finish the procedure. Restart the phone and it will work then you can resume the update process.
