There are tablets that don't have support for various modems. It doesn't matter if the modem is detected as Damaged device because it will work at some point. That's the Media Scanner of the tablet that has problems accessing the storage. Wait a few minutes and the tablet should be connected to 3G. Additionally, go to Settings > Wireless > Mobile network and turn on the data connection. Wait for 1-2 minutes and you should have access to Internet. Additionally, check for supported USB modems for your tablet using the help manual.
