Using files from this product on Windows 8.

I have used this program for years and would like to be able to save / transfer the files that were created with this program on Windows 8. Is there a viewer for FPT files that I could use to be able to read the files? Can I use Word, which I have, or other program as I cannot load the existing program on my computer? Is there someone who can suggest a program to fix my problem?

The Daily Journal application can't be used on Windows 8 because its developer didn't release an update that would fix its compatibility with this OS. However, according to the information found on the Internet, it seems that FPT files can be opened with Microsoft Visual FoxPro.
