Editing polygons in KMZ files

I have a KMZ file consisting of several thousand polygons. I want to divide the large group of polygons into smaller groups and save as KMZ or KML. Also, I want to change the descriptions of the polygons so that the name will appear when I click on them in Google Earth and sort the order in which they appear in the folders in Google Earth. Can I do this with KML Editor?

Yes, KML Editor has the ability to open and edit KML or KMZ files. You can edit the description of your items and save a part or all your project. According to the developer's website, it's advised to have Google Earth installed on your computer to benefit of all the program's features.
