Do I need to buy FabCAD and AutoCAD to use them properly?

To use FabCAD, do I need to buy a full copy of AutoCAD or they are different CAD packages?

FabCAD and AutoCAD are two software developed by different companies. You don't need to buy them both. You can use one or another.

FabCAD is developed by the company with the same name FabCAD Inc and you can purchase their products online on Product web-page.

AutoCAD is developed by Autodesk Inc. and you can buy their products by visiting the online Shop.
