Stuck on level 3. How can I pass it?

In chapter 3 (the Priest) I moved all the junk from the sarcophagus and I clearly see the angel under the grate, but I cannot pick up the angel because of the grate. What have I missed? I can no longer move any of the junk, although it appears to be out of the way anyway.

Sorry, but that's no answer. I've played the game twice as far as the crypt and got stuck both times. I've used the walkthrough, and it doesn't help. I would appreciate some help.
