Why can't I restart the DVR 800 after the computer goes on standby, as have to restart the computer for the program to run again properly. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.
Just employing it on the office computer to watch various cameras around the house, and it doesn't need to be on constantly, just want to keep an eye out for the mail deliveries or pizza. Let me know if there's a way to have the system on standby and still be able to reopen the program without restarting it.

When your computer goes on standby, the connection between the computer and home cameras is interrupted. Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent this from happening. However, this behavior shouldn't be encountered and you might be facing an internal error of the application. If an update to the latest version doesn't fix the problem, there is a workaround for this. After you turn ON your PC from a standby, if you can't run the application normally, press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc key combination to open the Task Manager. On the Process tab, search for the application's process and end it. After this, open the surveillance program. It should work fine.
