This application is developed for creating cards. Because of this, the developer didn't implement lots of elements that you can use to edit a photo (in this case, to remove the background from a picture). However, to fix your problem, you can use a third-party tool like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to extract the desired object from your picture and then import it into Card Desiree CS.
