To reset the maximum temperature tap the temperature digits FOUR or five times (until the "LO AL" icon disappears) and then PRESS (i.e. tap-and-hold) the flashing digits for at least three seconds. The digits should change to the current temperature (i.e. the max since being reset). To reset the minimum, tap once more (or FIVE/six times from the static digits mode) and then PRESS again.
