Problem with the test client.

I'm doing a project on openSCADA at Ohio University. However, I downloaded a test client (now called admin client, I guess), but cannot seem to perform any write operation with the memory items. It gives me the error "java.lang.RuntimeError: Message timed out". What could be wrong?

The problem is in the connection settings with Java. This could also be a runtime compatibility between the application and the OS. It's best to update Java to a newer version or simply downgrade it to a lower version. Many applications cease to function with new Java updates. To download latest version of Java, visit its official website and if you want to downgrade, there is an archived page that contains all that is necessary to download older versions of the product.
