Internet connection problems

I get the message "You don't appear to be connected to the Internet. Please connect to your NETGEAR router and try again". I have a Netgear dgn2200 and it is the only program I use to connect. The Parental control was working OK for a very long time and it is only in the past few days that it has come up with this message. How do I restore it to its original use, please? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no effect. I am using Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB memory.

Maybe, the problem is not with your router but with your ISP. If you haven't checked, call the ISP and ask information about the status of your Internet connection. The error above states that you don't have access to the Internet. In this case, try contacting them because your device may be in a perfect condition.
