Can anybody tell me what this message means: "Please take a few moments to activate your copy of Google Books Download, Activation protects from illegal distribution of its software and helps ensure that you have a genuine copy of the software. Copy and Paste serial number from your email, click 'OK' button, restart program."?

This means that the application is not free, and it needs to be activated before it can be used. When you purchase the application, all registration details are emailed to your account along with the instructions on how to activate it.
