When I load the software, I get the following message: "The sound software is not installed properly or has been disabled." The laptop's sound drivers are all updated. Please advise me what to do.

This has been addressed multiple times as bug. The problem is that until now, nobody found the working solution because the application may give this error at random times. It is caused by a 3rd party application. Try to close down all background application then run it again.
